Engineer. Educator. Two identities, one operating system. ENGINEER Ten years of shipping production software taught me one thing: the hard part was never the code. It was the judgment around it — what to build, what to cut, when to ship, when to wait, how to take a system through compliance without breaking the team. I've been the senior IC, the tech lead, and the engineering manager — sometimes in the same week. I've owned platforms through enterprise audits, led teams through painful migrations, and run production at 3 a.m. when it counted. The technical reps are in my experience section. What they don't show is the muscle underneath: I default to specs before code, evidence before opinion, and blameless retros when things break. EDUCATOR Teaching is how I sharpen my own thinking. If I can't explain it, I don't understand it well enough. That's why I write courses (Educative.io), facilitate bootcamps (Binar Academy), and mentor engineers (Rakamin Academy). Inside companies, the same instinct shows up as maturity models, structured 1:1s, and post-incident reviews that actually change behavior. Senior engineers level up the people around them. I think it's the job. lokerdollar.com is my proving ground. A solo-operated remote job platform for Indonesian talent. No team. No content writers. No ops staff. Just me and an agent roster running 24/7 in the background. The thesis: a senior engineer with sharp specs, strong taste, and a working operating model for AI agents can run production infrastructure that used to take a team. The agents don't replace judgment — they execute against specs written by someone who's shipped enterprise software and owned the consequences. What this means for a team I join: I don't just ship faster solo. I bring an operating model that compounds output per engineer — sharper specs, faster review cycles, autonomous loops where they make sense, and humans where judgment matters. Headcount isn't the only lever anymore. I've spent two years proving that, and I'm ready to bring it to a team that wants to compound, not just scale. OPEN TO Senior / Staff / Lead engineering and Engineering Manager roles. Remote-first (SEA / AU / UK / global). I work best with teams that ship to real users, take craft seriously, and treat AI as leverage rather than a buzzword. kelvindsmn@gmail.com · github.com/kelvindesman · lokerdollar.com
