I founded Sysdig in my backyard and, with the aid of a world-class team, I cultivated it into a leader in the cloud security market. I spearheaded the development of leading open-source tools such as Sysdig and Falco, with the latter now being recognized as a project under the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. I raised over $50M in venture capital and expanded the team to encompass more than 100 talented individuals. Subsequently, I transitioned into the role of CTO to concentrate on fostering the company's technical growth.

I started CACE in 2005 as a small 3-person consultancy shop in the field of packet capture and network monitoring. In the following 5 years, the company grew to be recognized as one of the leaders in the field. We disrupted the market by adopting an Open Source-based approach (we were the company behind wildly popular tools like Wireshark and WinPcap), and complementing it with commercial offerings that garnered rave reviews. CACE was acquired in 2010 by Riverbed. My responsibilities as CTO included defining the company’s technical strategies, designing the products, and leading the engineering team.
