I'm brought in to scale complex, regulated fintech businesses while balancing growth with operational excellence and regulatory discipline. I'm currently at Alpaca as head of the US broker-dealer, operating at the intersection of tradfi and defi, focused on building infrastructure to support digital assets and securities including plus tokenization, digital-asset custody and trading as the world around us is changing in real time. Alpaca is a DTCC member and offers correspondent clearing and custody services to fintechs in the US and around the globe. In addition Alpaca has a B2C offering where retail investors and institutions use Alpaca's API's to engage with financial markets. Alpaca is opening up financial services to the planet by building the global multi-currency de-facto standard infrastructure for investing and trading. Prior to Alpaca, I led Robinhood’s introducing brokerage business as President & COO through a time of explosive growth. During my tenure at Robinhood the customer base expanded from 6MM to over 19MM funded customers, leading to their IPO. Prior to Robinhood, I helped build a fintech startup (TradeKing) from the beginning until its successful acquisition by Ally Financial, where I was President of Ally Invest. Prior to the acquisition I successfully operated in many roles contributing to the growth and acquisition of Tradeking, including head of Business Development, Chief Operating Officer, and President of the broker-dealer
